Betis in Belgium with 3:0, from the first match, practically solved the question of passing on, but certainly no setbacks at home were expected. Towards the end of the match, Gent achieved a pyrrhic victory of 1:0, which did not help them to save elimination.
Copenhagen had to chase a goal behind because they lost 2:1 against Heidenheim in the first match at home. The Danes started attacking right from the start, and it paid off for them because they were 2:0 up in the 53rd minute, and as the home team reduced the advantage in the 73rd minute, they took the match to overtime. The visitors got off to a great start, and in the 10th minute, they took the lead, which they kept until the end of the match. The products didn't bring anything interesting either, so the winner was awaited from the penalty shootout.
