With goals from Larsen, Wolverhampton defeated Southampton away from home with 2:1, and pushed them towards the Championship. It is increasingly certain that the "saints" will return to the bottom of the ladder after one season in the biggest English competition. Brandford got all three points in Bournemouth with the same result, after a turnaround. Manchester City failed to beat Brighton at home, despite leading twice. In the end 2:2, I shared the points, so City will have to fight for a place in the Champions League. Nottingham Forest were great this weekend, I came away with a 4-2 win at Ipswich. Nothing happened until the 35th minute, when Milenkovic gave the guests the lead after a corner. Only two minutes later, Elanga doubled the advantage, and in the 41st minute, the same player, assisted by Milenkovic, scored his second goal and led the "foresters" to halftime with 3:0. The home players scored a goal in the 82nd minute, and five minutes later Forest scored a fourth goal, and Hirst scored the final goal in stoppage time. West Ham took the lead in Liverpool through Soucek in the 67th minute, but O'Brien equalized for Everton in the 91st minute, securing a point for his team. Perhaps the only surprise, although not that big, was Fulham's 2:0 victory at home over Tottenham. Until the 78th minute, the nets did not shake, but then Rodrigo Munoz gave the home team the lead, and Sesenho doubled that advantage in the 88th minute. In the derby round of Arsenal and Chelsea won by a minimum score at the Emirates, I scored all three points. The only scorer was Merino in the 20th minute. And for the end of this shortened round, Manchester United won 3:0 against Leicester away. Hojlund put the 'devils' in the lead in the 28th minute, which was the result of the first part of the game. In the second half, Garnaco doubled the lead in the 57th minute, but after checking the VAR, this goal was ruled out for offside. However, ten minutes later, Garnazzo scored a goal again, which this time went wide, the captain of the guests, Bruno Fernandes scored a goal for the final 3:0 in the 90th minute. Leicester recorded their seventh defeat in a row, in all competitions.
Liverpool is still at the top of the table, with 70 points, while Arsenal is second with 58. Forest is in third place with 54 points, and the fight for fourth place will be more than interesting. Chelsea is currently fourth with 49 points, City has 48, Newcastle and Brighton 45, and Bournemouth 44. Southampton is at the bottom of the table with only 9 points.
A lot of goals were seen this weekend in the German Bundesliga. In the first match played on Friday St. Pauli won at home against Hoffenheim with a minimal result. With the same result, Augsburg defeated Wolfsburg at home. Union Berlin and Bayern Munich shared the points in a 1:1 draw. Another draw, but 2:2, was seen in Mainz, where the home team led twice, but Freiburg took the lead twice and eventually won a point. Mainz finished the match with ten because Kor was sent off before the end of the first half. Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach played a great match in which the guests celebrated in the end. With Pleja's goals in the 7th and 28th minutes, Mehengladbach had a nice advantage, which melted away by halftime. Smith reduced the score to 2:1 in the 39th minute, and Andre Silva equalized from the penalty spot in stoppage time in the first half. Then Plea, with his third goal, in the 47th minute makes it 3:2, and Kleindenst scores a goal in the 81st minute for the final 4:2. The same player received a second yellow card in the 92nd minute, so he had to leave the game earlier. Leipzig defeated Borussia Dortmund 2:0 on their home field with goals from Simmons and Openda. With this defeat, Dortmund fell to 11th place in the table. Frankfurt defeated Bochum 3:1 away from home, and Heidenheim beat Kiel by the same score, at home. The most interesting was in Stuttgart, where the current champion, Bayer Leverkusen, was visiting. The home team took the lead through Demirović in the 15th minute, which was also the result of the first part of the game. And in other times, cannonade. The home team reached 2:0 through Waltmad at the start of the second part of the game, only for Frimpong to reduce the score to 2:1 in the 56th minute. Just six minutes later, Xhaka's own goal gave the home team a 3:1 lead, but it only lasted five minutes, as Hinkape reduced the score to 3:2. The visitors' attacks paid off in the end. With Steeler's own goal, Bayer equalized the victory, for the final 4:3, and all three points were scored by Patrick Schick with a goal in the 94th minute.
With this victory, Bayer achieved 56 points, I slightly reduced the advantage that Bayern had, to 6 points, because the team from Munich has 62 now. Mainz and Frankfurt in third and fourth place have 45 points each, and Leipzig and Freiburg have 42 each, in fifth and sixth place in the table.
In Serie A, we had as many as eight teams over the weekend scored a goal. Only 21 goals were scored in 10 games, which is not typical for the Italian league. In the first match of the round, Genoa defeated Lecce 2:1 with the goals of Mireti, Krstović scored the consolation goal for the visitors from the penalty spot. Verona took all three points from Udine with a narrow triumph. With the same result, Torino beat Empoli at home, and Roma beat Cagliari at Olympia. Monca and Parma shared the points in a 1:1 draw, and another draw, but without goals, was seen in Venice, where Napoli were visiting. After a turnaround, Milan beat Como on their home field with 2:1. Bologna overcame Lazio 5:0 with a great game, and climbed to the leading place in the Champions League. Fiorentina welcomed Juventus, I saw off the 'old lady' with 3:0. And perhaps the most important triumph was recorded by Inter in Bergamo. In a round derby that could have made the fight for the title much more complicated, Inter beat Atalanta and thus moved far away from the scudetto. The visiting teams scored both goals in the second half, and both ended the match with ten players each, as Ederson for the hosts and Bastoni for the guests were sent off.
Inter is now at the top of the table with 64 points, and Napoli follows them with 61. Atalanta remained at 58, while the fight for the Champions League will be extremely interesting. Bologna is currently fourth, with 53 points, followed by Juventus with 52, then Lazio with 51, Roma with 49, Fiorentina with 48 and Milan with 47.
It was exciting this weekend in the Spanish La Liga. It started with a draw in Las Palmas, where Alaves had an advantage of 2:0 until the 90th minute, and then the home team reduced it to 2:1 through Silva from the penalty, and Moleiro five minutes later brought an equalizer and a point to his team. The match between Rajo Valjecan and Real Sociedad ended with the same result. The guests took the lead in the first half, the home team turned it around in the second, and Mariezkuren scored the guests' point in the 80th minute. With a minimum victory of 1:0, all three points were won by the Celta players away from Valladolid, as well as Athletic Bilbao in Seville. Mallorca was better than Espanyol 2:1 at home, then Getafe was better than Osasuna away, even though they had fewer players, and also with the same result, Real defeated Villarreal away, with two goals from Mbappe. Girona and Valencia played out a 1-1 draw, while Betis took all three points from Leganes in a 3-2 win, despite trailing 2-0 at half-time. In the derby of the round, Atletico Madrid met Barcelona, leading 2:0 until the 72nd minute. And then first Lewandowski reduced the score to 2:1, and six minutes later Ferran Torres equalized, so that Jamal reversed the result with a goal in the 92nd minute, and Ferran Torres put the point on this match and the final 4:2 with his second goal in the 98th minute.
Barca is now in the top of the table with 60 points, the same number as Real Madrid, but with me more. At the end is Valladoli with only 16 points.
In the first match of the French League 1, Nice met Auxerre with whom they shared the points, 1:1, with a red card for the home side. I Nantes won at home against Lille with a minimum score of 1:0, although the home team had a red card. With the same result, I Lance celebrated against Rennes at home, and Monaco took all three points from Anze with a 2:0 victory. The most effective match was seen in Lyon, where the home team beat Le Havre 4:2, although they were losing until the 78th minute. After a turnaround, Strasbourg defeated Toulouse 2:1 at home. Brest and Reims ended the match without goals, and the home team ended the match with one less player. The match between Montpellier and St. Etienne was interrupted in the second half due to the disturbance caused by the home fans, and at that moment St. Etienne had 2:0, I had one less player. In the biggest French derby, PSG easily defeated Marseille at home with 3:1.
With this victory, PSG increased their lead over Marseille to 19 points, practically securing a new title. Marseille is in second place with 49 points, followed by Monaco with 47, Nice also with 47, Lyon with 45, Lille with 44 and Strasbourg with 43. Last on the table is Montpellier with 15 points.
