This weekend in the Premier League, we saw only one victory for the home team, while the visitors were matched. All three points at home were won by Arsenal itself with a 3:0 triumph over Nottingham Forest. Chelsea won in Leicester with 2:1, and continued with excellent games. And Brighton celebrated with the same result in Bournemouth, although the visitors had fewer players. Wolverhampton won an unexpectedly convincing 4:1 triumph against Fulham in London. Everton and Brandford played a goalless match, with a red card for the guests, and the Aston Villa-Crystal Palace and Ipswich-Manchester United 1:1 matches were decided without a winner, in the debut of the new manager of the 'devil', Ruben Amorim. The biggest surprise was made by Tottenham, who outclassed Manchester City 4:0 away from home. Liverpool continued with great games and beat Southampton 3:2 after a turnaround. In the last match of the round, West Ham beat Newcastle 2:0 as a guest.
Liverpool is at the top of the table with 31 points, even 8 more than City, and newcomer Southampton is last with 4 points.
Bayern continued to win in the Bundesliga, and this time at the Allianz Arena, Augsburg lost 3:0, with fewer guests playing. All three points were scored by Wolfsburg at home against Union Berlin, and Frankfurt at home against Werder Bremen with minimal victories. Hoffenheim and Leipzig played a great match in which as many as 7 goals were scored, and the home team came out as the winner. Dortmund convincingly won 4:0 against Freiburg, which had even 2 players less. Stuttgart was confident and won 2:0 against Bochum. Another match where 7 goals were seen was the duel between Leverkusen and Heidenheim, which the champions won in their favor, 5:2. As a guest, Mainz defeated Kiel 3:0, and in the last match of the round, Mechengladbach won at home against St. Pauli with 2:0.
Bayern Munich is still the first with 29 points, while Bochum is at the bottom with only two points.
In the first match of this round of Serie A, Inter roared with a 'firecracker' against Verona. The derby of this round between Milan and Juventus ended without goals, and Djenova-Cagliari played without a winner 2:2, Torino and Monza 1:1, and Empoli and Udinese also played 1:1. Atalanta beat Parma away with 3:1, and Fiorentina continued their great games with a new 2:0 away win against Como, which had fewer players. Napoli beat Roma with a minimum score of 1:0, and I Lecce beat Venezia away from home with the same score. Lazio also continued his excellent games and defeated Bologna with 3:0, which had fewer players.
The situation in the table looks very interesting, although Napoli is first with 29 points, even four teams have only one point less, namely Atalanta, Inter, Fiorentina and Lazio, while Venice is still in the lead with 8 points.
The new round of the Spanish La Liga began with the duel on Friday evening, and Getafe defeated Valladolid as the host. Valencia finally won at home, 4:2 against Betis. Atlético Madrid also won against Alaves 2:1 at home, and Girona was convincing against Espanyol at home with 4:1. Mallorca, although they had fewer players, defeated Las Palmas as a guest 3:2, and Celta took a point away from Barcelona in Vigo, in the end 2:2 with a red card for the Catalans. The first match between Osasuna and Villarreal ended with the same result. Sevilla defeated Rayo Vallecano at home with a minimum score, which had fewer players, and the last match of this round was played with the same result, in which Athletic Bilbao defeated Real Sociedad. Real Madrid was convincing away from home against Leganes with 3:0.
Barcelona is still at the top of the table with 34 points, and the last is Valladolid with 9 points.
On Friday, we had two matches in the French League 1. Monaco defeated Brest 3:2 in a very interesting match at home, and PSG registered three points against Toulouse with a convincing 3:0 victory. Marseille took all three points from Lance with a 3:1 victory. St. Etienne over Montpellier, Lille over Rennes and Auxerre over Anze. The only draw was in Reims, where the home team shared the points with Lyon, 1:1. As a guest, Le Havre beat Nantes 2:0.
