In the first month of the 26th Round of the Premier League, Brandford outclassed Leicester City 4:0 and scored three very important points. Manchester United earned a point at Goodison Park because they were losing 2:0 from the 33rd minute but in eight minutes of the second half they managed to equalize with one point. Brighton roared 4:0 against Southampton and pushed them to the Championship, and Tottenham won 4:1 in Ipswich. Crystal Palace defeated Fulham 2:0 in a small London derby, and in the second London derby, Arsenal disappointed their fans and lost 1:0 at home to West Ham with Lewis-Skelley's red card. I Wolverhampton recorded the minimum victory on the road to Bournemouth with the exclusion of Zabarni for home. Aston Villa beat Chelsea 2:1, thanks to two goals from newcomer Marco Asensio. The most effective match was seen in Newcastle, where the home team defeated Nottingham Forest 4:3. The home team scored all four goals in 11 minutes in the first half, with two goals by Isak. In the derby of this round, Liverpool easily defeated Manchester City away with 2:0. With this victory, they came much closer to the title.
Liverpool is first with 64 points, even 11 more than Arsenal, but they have played a match more, while Southampton is in last place with only 9 points won.
Freiburg demolished Werder Bremen 5:0 in the first match of the 23rd round of the Bundesliga with two goals from Doan I Griff. Bayer from Leverkusen routinely celebrated with 2:0 in Kiel, and Augsburg beat Borussia Monchengladbach with 3:0, thanks to a hat trick by Claude-Maurice in 15 minutes. Mainz triumphed at home against St. Paulia with 2:0, and Wolfsburg and Bochum shared the points in a 1:1 draw. The most convincing this weekend was Borussia from Dortmund, which defeated Union from Berlin 6:0 in Westfalen, thanks to four goals from the fantastic Zirasi. Heidenheim led 2:0 in Leipzig, but the home team reached a tie, and Hoffenheim and Stuttgart also drew 1:1. Bayern Munich saw off Eintracht Frankfurt with 4:0.
Bayern is first with 58 points, 8 more than Bayer Leverkusen, and last is Kiel with 13 points won.
In Italy, as usual, there were not many goals this weekend. In the first match of this round, Udinese took all three points from Lecce with a minimum victory of 1:0, and the same result was celebrated by Inter at home against Genoa, Juventus away against Cagliari, and Verona at home against Fiorentina. Venice and Lazio played a goalless match, while Parma beat Bologna 2:0. Torino defeated Milan 2:1 at home, and Como defeated Napoli at home with the same result. Atalanta "firecrackers" Empoli away, with two goals from Lukman, and in the last match of this round, Roma beat Monza 4:0 at Olympia.
Now Inter has taken the leading position in the table, with 57 points, one more than Napoli and three more than Atalanta, and finally Monza with 14 points.
In Spain this weekend saw a lot of red cards which is not unusual. Celta won 1:0 against Osasuna in Vigo, with the same result, Espanyol took all three points away from Alaves, as did Villarreal from visiting Rayo Vallecano, with the home team receiving a red card. Atletico Madrid defeated Valencia 3:0 at the Mestalla, with two goals from Julián Alvarez, and thus continued the championship race. Barcelona struggled a bit, but broke the resistance of home Las Palmas and in the end registered a 2:0 triumph for the side. The most convincing in this round was Athletic Bilbao, who beat Valladolid 7:1 at home, with two goals from Nick Williams, and a red card for the visiting players. Real Madrid routinely registered a 2-0 win against Girona at home, while Betis beat Getafe 2-1 on the side with two goals from Isco, and a red card at either end. Real Sociedad beat Leganes 3:0 at home, and in the last match of this round, Sevilla and Mallorca shared the points, 1:1.
Barcelona is first in the table, due to better goal difference, but the same points, Real Madrid has 54, while Atletico Madrid is in third place with one point less, and Valladolid is last with 15 points.
This weekend saw a lot of goals and red cards in France. In the first match of the round, Rennes won 1:0 against Rams at home, and the guests ended the match with nine players. Lille beat Monaco 2:1 at home with Haraldson's goals, while St. Etienne and Anze shared the points in a score of 3:3. Auxerre defeated favored Marseille at home with 3:0, thanks to two goals from Zubal Junior, and the guests ended the match with one less player. Nantes welcomed Lance I and won 3:1, and the guests ended the match with one less player. Nice routinely won 2:0 over Montpellier at home. Strasbourg and Brest played a goalless match. Toulouse beat Le Havre away with 4:1, and the hosts finished the match with one less player, in the last match of this round, PSG won 3:2 against Lyon with two goals from Hakimi, and all five goals were scored in the second half.
PSG is still the first with 59 points, now I have even 13 more than Marseille, and the last one is still Montpellier.
